the lowest acceptable value. The range of settings is from
OFF
(no trim correction) to
6
(fastest trim correction). Do not attempt to adjust the AutoTrim setting, until you have
sufficient experience using your autopilot system.
To adjust the AutoTrim:
1. With the
Drive settings
menu displayed (see
Preliminary procedure above), scroll to
AutoTrim
then press
OK
to display the
Autotrim
page.
2. Scroll to set a the next AutoTrim value (up or
down as appropriate).
3. Press
OK
to save the setting and return to the
Drive settings
menu.
Setting turn rate limit
The turn rate limit defines your boat’s rate of turn
under autopilot control. To set this:
1. With the
Drive settings
menu displayed (see
Preliminary procedure above), scroll to
Turn
rate limit
then press
OK
to display the
Turn rate
limit
page.
2. Scroll to set the value you want for turn rate,
from
15°
to
30°
per second, in 1° steps
3. Press
OK
to save the setting and return to the
Drive settings
menu.
Setting off course alarm
The off course angle is the maximum deviation allowable from a plotted course. If this
angle is exceeded for more than 20 seconds, the Off Course alarm sounds. The
Off
course alarm
page enables you change the off course angle. To do this:
1. With the
Drive settings
menu displayed (see
Preliminary procedure above), scroll to
Off
course alarm
then press
OK
to display the
Off
course alarm
page.
2. Scroll to set the value you want for off course
alarm, from
15°
to
40°
in 1° steps.
3. Press
OK
to save the setting and return to the
Drive settings
menu.
Rudder limit
The
Rudder limit
page is available only if the rudder reference option is fitted, to
enable you to adjust the rudder to avoid putting strain on the end stops. To do this:
1. Use the Preliminary procedure above to display the
Rudder limit
page.
2. Turn the wheel to move the rudder:
To the port end stop and note the angle on the rudder bar.
To the starboard end stop and note the angle on the rudder bar.
