6C Foot Controls Repair
Clutch Pedal Assembly Service -
Tuff Torq K210A Models
Refer to Figure C–29 for specific assembly and part
information.
1. Remove the mower deck to gain easier access to the
clutch controls.
2. Remove the lock nut (27) and washer (8) and slide
the brake pedal assembly (28) out of the frame. Note
the positions of the torsion spring (24) and foot pedal
arm (25).
Front Clutch Rod Service -
Tuff Torq K210A Models
Refer to Figure C–29 for specific assembly and part
information.
1. Remove the mower deck to gain easier access to the
clutch controls.
2. Remove the cotter pin that attaches the front clutch
rod (10) to the foot pedal arm (25). Detach the rod
from the foot pedal arm.
3. Remove the cotter pin (9) and washer (5) that attach
the front clutch rod (10) to the idler arm assembly
(14).
4. Remove the rod and inspect or replace as necessary.
Install in revers order of removal.
Rear Clutch Rod Service -
Tuff Torq K210A Models
Refer to Figure C–29 for specific assembly and part
information.
1. Remove the mower deck to gain easier access to the
clutch controls.
2. Remove the cotter pin (6) and washer (5) that attach
the rear clutch rod (1) and extension spring (7) to the
transmission. Detach the rod.
NOTE: The extension spring may be under
tension–remove carefully.
3. Detach the rear clutch rod from the idler arm assem-
bly (14).
Inspect and repair as necessary. Install in reverse
order of removal.
Idler Arm Assembly Service -
Tuff Torq K210A Models
Refer to Figure C–29 for specific assembly and part
information.
1. Remove the mower deck to gain easier access to the
clutch controls.
2. Remove the front and rear clutch rods as described
in Front and Rear CLutch Rod Service.
3. Remove the drive spring (23).
4. Remove the drive belt by loosening the belt stops
(11) and sliding the belt off the pulleys.
5. Remove the clip ring (17) and remove the idler
assembly from the frame.
Inspect and repair as necessary. Install in reverse
order of removal.
