TROUBLESHOOTING
Battery runs down quickly
Step 1
1) Check accessories which use excessive amounts of electricity.
Are accessories being installed?
Step 2
1) Check the battery for current leakage. (!6-11)
Is the battery for current leakage OK?
Step 3
1) Measure the charging voltage between the battery terminals. (!6-11)
Is the charging voltage OK?
Step 4
1) Measure the continuity of the stator coil and rotor coil. (!6-16)
Is the continuity of the stator coil and rotor coil OK?
Step 5
1) Inspect the slip rings and brushes. (!6-16, -17)
Is the slip rings and brushes OK?
Step 6
1) Inspect the rectifier and IC regulator. (!6-17)
Is the rectifier and IC regulator OK?
YES Remove accessories.
NO Go to Step 2.
YES Go to Step 3.

• Short circuit of wire harness
• Loose or disconnected wires
• Faulty battery
YES
• Faulty battery
• Abnormal driving condition
NO Go to Step 4.
YES Go to Step 5.
NO
• Faulty stator coil
• Disconnected lead wires
YES Go to Step 6.
NO Faulty slip ring(-s) and/or brush(-es)
YES Go to Step 7.
NO Faulty rectifier and/or IC regulator
