CALIBRATION AND START-UP
Enabling / locking the keyboard - Password
All parameters (measurements and adjustments) can be viewed on the operator panel, while modi-
cations to settings are enabled/disabled according to the following congurations:
• Enabled without password (factory setting)
• Enabled with password
• Disabled
The operating modes can only be set via ThyVisor in a level 1 session:
• Connect the PC's port to the SME2-IS fault detector's local port (RJ45)
• Launch ThyVisor (use the most recent version, available on the website).
• Select Preferences - Session level
• Session level 0 is the default on power on, as indicated at the bottom of the screen
• Set level 1. A password is requested (default: level1). Conrm by clicking “ok” twice. (level 1, as
indicated at the bottom of the screen).
• Initiate communications by running the command in the Add Device menu
• Select the family and device
• The program will look the device up in its library
• Assign the “virtual” device IP address 192.168.1.1
• In the Activation box, select Start; the following message displays at the bottom of the screen
Network ON.
• go to the MMI folder (Man-Machine-Interface = keyboard). On the right of the screen, click on the
value column in the rst line “enable parameter modication” to open a selection window with the
following 3 options:
- OFF = keyboard read only
- By password = keyboard in read mode with programming requiring a password
- ON = keyboard in read and programming mode
To set any parameter, rst open a calibration session in the respective menu or click on the icon
in the bar at the top of the screen; the calibration session is conrmed by the message Calibration
session: Open on a yellow background at the bottom of the screen
Relay operation with Password
If you have selected the mode By password in Thyvisor, the relay's display will show a new menu,
password, at the start of the list.
• Press Right; the message: password not ok >> will display, and you will not be able to make
settings
• Press Right ; this opens the enter password page, where you are prompted to enter a 4
character password (default = 0000)
• Hold down the button Enter; the START and TRIP LEDs will ash to indicate you are in settings mode
and a cursor will display under the selected parameter
• Set the parameter value with the keys Up or Down
using the keys Left and Right to move from one
character to the next
• Press Enter; the cursor will disappear and the TRIP LED will go out, with the START led will con-
tinue ashing
• Hold Enter down for a few seconds until the following message displays: Confirm settings?
• Respond to the prompt ENTER: YES to conrm, or RESET: NO to abort the change.
• The message password ok >> will now display
• To quit the password menu, use the keys Left and Up; press Right to return to the password menu,
at which point you must enter the password again. You can now make changes to the parame-
ters with the keyboard. Every time you nish a programming session by conrming a new val-
ue with Enter or cancelling it (reset button), you will be required to enter the password again.
