Warning Displays
Low Oil Pressure Warning
1 Low Oil Pressure Display
If sufficient oil pressure is present,
the display will not appear.
With the engine running, if the
engine oil pressure becomes
dangerously low, the low oil pressure
symbol in the temperature display
will flash. In addition, the low
pressure warning light in the
tachometer will illuminate.
The low oil pressure symbol will flash
and the low oil pressure warning in
the tachometer will illuminate if the
ignition is switched on without
running the engine.
• If the coolant temperature is
below 40
o
C, the word ‘LO’ will
also appear in the display. This
does not indicate low oil
pressure. It does, however,
indicate that the coolant
temperature is low.
Caution
Stop the engine immediately if the
low oil pressure warning light
illuminates. Do not restart the
engine until the fault has been
rectified.
Severe engine damage will result
from running the engine when the
low oil pressure warning light is
illuminated.
