Belt guards and protections
Installation requirements
Unless the engine is protected by a cover or its own
enclosure, exposed moving or hot parts of the engine
that could cause personal injury must be effectively
shielded.
Belt guards for 31–41 engines which can be fitted on
the engine, are available as optional equipment from
Volvo Penta. Protections can also be built in the en-
gine room by the boat builder.
