Launching the boat
Check before launching:
- Install the batteries in their compartment and at-
tach the battery leads.
- Check that all valves at through hull fittings are
closed.
- Check that the fitted propeller has the correct di-
ameter and pitch before launching. Check also that
the propeller has the correct rotation (right or left).
Launch the boat.
Check before starting the engine:
- Engine – propeller shaft alignement
-
Open valves at through hull fittings one by one
-
Check for leakages in hull and through hull fittings
- Open valves for external systems, hot water circuit
etc.
- That all drain cocks are closed and all drain plugs
are installed.
- Water lubricated stern bearings: Vent the rubber
seal. Press thereafter approx. 1 cm

water resist-
ant grease into the rubber seal, Volvo Penta part
no. 828250-1.
- Check that the water pipes are open and that the
water lubrication is adequate while test running.
Also check for good water lubrication at planing
speeds and higher.
- Engine oil. The oil capacity, oil quality and viscosi-
ty. See
Operator’s Manual.
