9 Commissioning
9.1 Checking connections
Check all connections:
– Check the electrical connections for firm seating.
– Check the lines of the sea water circuit for firm seating
and leaks.
– Check the air ducts for firm seating and leaks.
Make sure the return air grille and supply air grille are
not blocked.
9.2 Checking operation of condensed-
water drain
Pour water into the condensate tray and check it for pro-
per drainage.
Ensure clear passage and that all connections are leak-
tight.
9.3 Filling sea water pump head
Self-priming sea water pumps: fill pump head with water.
9.4 Test run
Connect the power supply as shown in the wiring
diagram.
Switch on the generator if necessary.
Switch on the air-conditioning system in the cooling mo-
de.
Check the sea-water flow rate.
Determine the flow rate of the exiting sea water with a
catch container and a stop watch. The actual flow rate must
be above the required minimum flow rate (see Chapter 4.7,
“Technical Data”) to ensure fault-free operation at high sea
water temperatures.
If the minimum value is not reached, then all pressure losses
in the system must be reduced (e.g. use larger cross-
sections, fewer elbows, shorter lines) or use a stronger
pump.
