2.1 Safety precautions

the installation!

2.2 Statutory regulations governing
installation
Among other things, be sure to observe the following
regulations and guidelines:
• Legal regulations for accident prevention
• Legal regulations for environmental protection
• The applicable safety conditions of the standard
DIN EN ISO 12100
• Directive 97/23/EC of the European Parliament
and of the Council to approximate the laws of
the Member States concerning pressure
equipment
• Directive 2004/108/EC of the European
Parliament and of the Council to approximate the
laws of the Member States concerning
electromagnetic compatibility
• Directive 2006/95/EC of the European Parliament
and of the Council to approximate the laws of
the Member States concerning electrical
equipment for use within certain voltage ranges
CAUTION
Moving parts!
Danger of injury, damage to air-conditioning
system.
Only operate the air-conditioning system
when installed.
CAUTION
Hot surfaces!
Danger of burns.
Do not touch the air-conditioning unit during
operation.
ATTENTION
Danger from escaping refrigerant!
If you perceive a hissing noise and mist,
refrigerant may have escaped and the air-
conditioning system may be defective.
Please proceed as follows:
Ventilate and leave room, interrupt power
supply and secure against switching on again;
Go on deck;
Contact Webasto Service Centre or shipyard.
FLAMMABLE
Ignition of surrounding gases or highly
flammable liquids by sparking of the air-
conditioning system!
Danger of fire and explosion of ship or of petrol
station.
The air-conditioning systems must ALWAYS
be switched off during refuelling or while in a
petrol station area.
ATTENTION
Defective operation or damage to the
components of the air-conditioning system and
the ship.
Observe these installation instructions when
installing the electrical lines, sea water system,
the electrical box and the air ducts.
NOTE
It is the responsibility of the person carrying out
the installation to ensure that the installation
meets all relevant local regulations. These
include, for example, EU directives, regulations
of the American Boat & Yacht Council and the
American Coast Guard and general standards of
the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Industry
(ARI). In addition, all relevant regulations for
official approval (if available) with regard to the
installation and use of auxiliary heaters in ships
must be complied with.
