5. Adjust the trim rod joint “1” until the dis-
tances “a” and “b” are equal.
Do not rotate the trim rod joint more than 2
turns on either end. Otherwise, the trim rod
joint may not be screwed in more than 8
mm (0.31 in).
When adjusting, make sure to rotate the trim
rod joint 1 full turn each time. The trim rod is re-
tracted by 0.8 mm (0.03 in) per 1 trim rod joint
rotation.
6. Connect the trim rod joints, and then tight-
en the locknut to the specified torque.
7. Connect the shift rod joint “1”.
8. Initialize the RiDE system using the YDIS.

Jet thrust nozzle angle adjustment
1. Remove the service lid.
2. Loosen the locknut “1”.
3. Disconnect the steering cable joint “2” from
the ball joint “3”.
4. Turn the steering cable joint “2” in or out to
adjust distances “a” and “b”.
The steering cable joint must be screwed in
more than 8 mm (0.31 in).
Turn out Distance “a” is increased.
Turn in Distance “b” is increased.
Distance “c”
8.0 mm (0.31 in) or more
