Connecting rod bearing selection
1. Check the connecting rod size number “a”
on the connecting rod.
2. Check the crankshaft pin size number “a”
on the crankshaft web.
3. Select the suitable color “a” for the con-
necting rod bearing from the table.
“P1” connecting rod size number “5”
“P1” crankshaft pin size number “1”
5 - 1 = 4
Select the size “4”, “Green” connecting rod
bearing.
Crankshaft journal oil clearance
check
1. Clean the crankshaft bearings, crankshaft
journals, and bearing portions of the crank-
case and cylinder block.
Big end side clearance
0.160–0.262 mm (0.0063–0.0103 in)
Limit
0.50 mm (0.0197 in)
Big end width
26.788–26.840 mm (1.0546–1.0567 in)
Crankshaft pin width
27.000–27.050 mm (1.0630–1.0650 in)
