3.1.2 Lube oil
(1) Selection of Engine Lube Oil
Use the following lube oil:
*API Classification CD
(Standards of America Petroleum Institute)
*SAE Viscosity. 15W40
(Standards of Society of Automotive
Engineering)

will lead to seizure of parts inside the

also effect the starting ability and
power output.
. For MERCRUISER's stern-driven device (BRAVO) use the following lube oil.

Quicksilver High Performance Gear Lube
Quicksilver Power Trim and Steering Fluid or Dexione-I
Quicksilver Power Trim and Steering Fluid
or SAE 10W-30 or 10W-40 engine oil
For further more instructions, refer to the maker's manual.
Follow the maker's instructions for the marine gears.

3.1.3 Cooling Water

Be sure to add LLC to cooling fresh water.
In cold seasons, the LLC Is especially Important.
Without LLC, cooling performance will decrease due to ^
cooling water line. Without LLC, cooling water w.ll freeze and expand, breakmg
various parts.
