time,
wait
for
about
15 seconds
before
trying
again.

Restarting
After
Starting
Failure
When
attempting
to
restart
the
engine
after
starting
failure,
be sure
that
the
engine
is at a
complete
^ stop
before
turning
the
starter
switch
key. If the
engine
is
restarted
while
the
engine
still
has not
stopped, the
pinion
gear
of the
starter
motor
will
be damaged.
•
When
the
engine
will
not
start
after
several
attempts,
check the
fuel
system. If
there
is
air in the
fuel
system, the
fuel
will
not be fed
and
starting
will
not be possible.
After
bleeding
air
from
the system,
attempt
to
restart
the
engine.

Warming-up
running
After the engine has started, let it run for
about 5 minutes. This warms up the engine
and
distributes oil to all of the parts.

the speed to no more than 1500rpm and
run the engine at low
speed

discharge is too
small
or if load is
applied
without
any
warming
up
operation.

(2) Checking for
problems
While
warming up the
engine,
check the following items.
©Check
that
the
meters
and
alarm
devices on the
control
panel
are normal. —See 2.5.2
©Check for water or oil
leakage
from the engine.
©Check
that
exhaust
color,
engine vibrations and sound are normal.
©Check
that
sufficient cooling water is discharged from the seawater outlet pipe.
Operation
with
too
little
seawater discharge will burn the impeller of the seawater pump.
If seawater discharge is too
small,
stop the engine immediately, identify the cause and repair

the kingston cock open ?
•
Is
the inlet of the kingston cock clogged ?
•
Is
the seawater suction hose broken, or does the hose suck in air due to a
loose
joint
?
