The
oil pressure control valve built into the oil cooler housing
controls the oil
pressure
when the lube oil
passes
through the
oil cooler
housing.
When
the
pressure
of lube oil
exceeds
the
setting, the control valve piston opens the bypass hole and
lube oil flows back into the oil pan.
