Safety Enable Circuitry
The drive ships with the safety jumper (SAFETY) installed. This jumper must
be removed when using the Safe Torque Off or Safe Speed Monitoring safety
options.
To remove the SAFETY jumper, follow these steps.
1. Access the control pod as described beginning on page 228
.
2. Locate and remove SAFETY jumper on the main control board (see the
figure for your drive).

IMPORTANT Failure to remove the jumper when using either safety option causes the
drive to fault when a start command is issued.
IMPORTANT Floor Mount Frame 8 drives and larger do not have a SAFETY jumper.
