It acts as an engine cut-off or emergency
stop switch.
Press this switch to stop the engine.

DO NOT ACTIVATE THE ENGINE

System ABS (02_21, 02_22,
02_23, 02_24)
The ABS system is a device to avoid
wheels locking in case of emergency
braking, thus increasing vehicle stability
at braking when compared with a tradi-
tional braking system. Sometimes when
the brake is pressed, the tyre locks with
a consequent loss of grip, which makes it
difficult to control the vehicle. A position
sensor on the tone wheel, forming an in-
tegral unit with the vehicle wheel, "reads"
the status of the vehicle wheel spotting
any possible lock. A control unit points
this out and adjusts the pressure inside
the braking circuit accordingly.
NOTE
WHEN THE ABS STARTS WORKING,
A PULSING IS FELT ON THE BRAKE
LEVER.
Antiblokkeersysteem ABS
(02_21, 02_22, 02_23, 02_24)
Het ABS is een mechanisme dat het blok-
keren van de wielen belet in geval van
een noodremming, door de stabiliteit van
het voertuig tijdens het remmen te ver-
hogen tegenover een traditioneel rem-
systeem. Wanneer de rem geactiveerd
wordt, kan in sommige gevallen de band
blokkeren met gripverlies als gevolg, wat
de controle over het voertuig moeilijk
maakt. Een positiesensor "leest" op het
geluidswiel, dat in verbinding staat met
het wiel van het voertuig, de staat van het
wiel zelf en detecteert een eventuele
blokkering. De melding wordt beheerd
door een centrale, die bijgevolg de druk
in het remcircuit regelt.
