Thedisplayusesalayeredsoftwarearchitecturetogreatly
simplifythelearningcurveforanyoperator.Eachlayer
inheritsthecapabilitiesofthepreviouslayer.Thiscreates
standardresources,tools,andscreensforallapplications
onthedisplay.
Framework
Sharedresources,tools,andscreens–the“Framework”
layerintheillustration–meanthattheoperatorcanspend
lesstimelearningandmoretimeusingtheapplicationson
thedisplay.
Sharedresourcesmaybeoperatorpreferences,imple-
mentdescriptions,croptypes,grower-farm-eld-task
structure,etc.Theoperatorentersthisinformationonce.
Theinformationisthenavailableinanyapplicationon
thedisplay,eveniftheoperatormovesthedisplaytoa
differentvehicle.
Standardpop-upkeypadsandoptionswindowsareex-
amplesofsharedtools.Thesametoolsareusedtocreate
lists,selectoptions,andenternamesorvalues.Theop-
eratoronlyneedstolearnthesetoolsoncebecausethey
arethesameineveryapplicationonthedisplay.
Commoniconsand"Home"screenorganizationsimplify
navigationthroughallapplicationsonthedisplay.

Vehicle
Increasingly,theAFSPro700displaywillbeanopera-
tor’sprimarytoolforinterfacingwiththevehicle,whether
atractor,combine,orsprayer.Onmanyvehicles,theop-
eratorcontrolsautomatedsteeringwiththedisplay.On
somecombinestoday,theoperatornotonlymonitorshar-
vestoperations,butalsocontrolsthemdirectlyfromthe
display.
Thevehicleusesthedisplaytocommunicateitsunique
controlandmonitoringneedstotheoperator,whileoffer-
inggreaterperformancecontrolandfeedback.
