⢠Operational AdvertisementāDisplays the capabilities currently published
to the portās neighbor. The possible options are those specified in the
Administrative Advertisement field.
⢠Neighbor AdvertisementāDisplays the capabilities advertised by the
neighboring device (link partner).
⢠Back PressureāSelect the Back Pressure mode on the port (used with Half
Duplex mode) to slow down the packet reception speed when the switch is
congested. It disables the remote port, preventing it from sending packets
by jamming the signal.
⢠Flow ControlāEnable or disable 802.3x Flow Control, or enable the auto-
negotiation of Flow Control on the port (only when in Full Duplex mode).
⢠MDI/MDIXāthe Media Dependent Interface (MDI)/Media Dependent
Interface with Crossover (MDIX) status on the port.
The options are:
- MDIXāSelect to swap the port's transmit and receives pairs.
- MDIāSelect to connect this switch to a station by using a straight
through cable.
- AutoāSelect to configure this switch to automatically detect the correct
pinouts for the connection to another device.
⢠Operational MDI/MDIXāDisplays the current MDI/MDIX setting.
⢠Member in LAGāDisplays the LAG, if the port is a member of a LAG;
otherwise this field is left blank.
STEP 6 Click Apply. The Port Settings are modified, and the Running Configuration file is
updated.
