Airflow Selection
Setting
Floor Standing Type: FVXS Series
Airflow direction can be set with the airflow selection switch.
Open the front panel.

The air conditioner automatically decides the appropriate blowing pattern depending on the
operating mode / situation.
• During Dry operation, air is blown upper air outlet, so that cold air does not come into direct
contact with people.
When setting the airflow selection switch to .
Regardless of the operating mode or situation, air is blown from the upper air outlet.
Use this switch when you do not want air coming out of the lower air outlet. (e.g., while
sleeping)

Cooling operation
• When the room has become fully
cool, or when 1 hour has passed
since turning on the air
conditioner.
• Air is blown from the upper air
outlet,
so that air does not come
into direct contact with people,
and room temperature is
equalized.
• At the start of operation or when
the room is not fully cooled.
• Air is blown from the upper and
lower air outlets for high speed
cooling during cooling operation,
and for filling the room with warm
air during heating operation.
Heating operation
• Normal time
• At the start or when air
temperature is low.
• Air is blown from the upper air
outlet, so that air does not come
into direct contact with people.
CAUTION
Before opening the front panel, be sure to stop the operation and turn the breaker off.
Do not touch the aluminum fins (indoor heat exchanger) inside of the indoor unit, as it
may result in injury.
Air is blown from the upper outlet only.
