Datalogic 2 of 5 — cont.
Datalogic 2 of 5 Set Length 1
This feature specifies one of the bar code lengths for Datalogic 2 of 5 Length Control.
Length 1 is the minimum label length if in Variable Length Mode, or the first fixed
length if in Fixed Length Mode. The length includes the bar code’s check and data char-
acters.
The length can be set from 2 to 50 characters in increments of two.
Follow these instructions to set this feature:
1. Determine the desired character length (from 2 to 50). The length must be an even num-
ber.
2. Pad the result with leading zeroes to yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20,
et
c.
3. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to enter Programming
Mo
de.
4. Scan the bar code: SELECT I 2 of 5 LENGTH 1 SETTING.
5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in Appendix E, Keypad, that represent
the length setting which was determined in the s
teps above. You will hear a two-beep indi-
cation after the last character.
NOTE
If you make a mistake before the last character scan the CANCEL bar
co
de to abort and not save the entry string. You can then start again at
the beginning.
6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE bar code to exit Programming
Mode.
This completes the procedure. See Table 27 for some examples of how to set this feature.
