5.2 Outdoor installations
The inverter has a protection degree of IP65 and can be
installed indoors and outdoors. Despite this, the inverter
should be protected by a roof against direct solar irradiation,
rain and snow.
For example, the power of the inverter will be reduced if it is
too heavily heated by solar irradiation. This is normal operat-
ing behavior for the inverter and is necessary to protect the
internal electronics.
In areas with many trees or fields, pollen and other plant
material can clog the air inlets or fans.
One solution is to cover the air inlets. This must not hinder
the flow of air through the inverter. Regularly clean and
test the cooling system, see “11.4 Cleaning the air inlets”,
page 144.
