example, the contact time recommended by the manufacturer for soaking in Cidex
Glutaraldehyde (2.4%) is at least 45 min.
6. Rinse the vagina sensor/stress probe/rectum sensor thoroughly with sterile water to
remove all chemical residues. For example, it is required to flush the sensor after
soaking in Cidex Glutaraldehyde (2.4%) with plenty of sterile water (about 2 gallons)
at least one time. Or, follow the complete rinsing instructions provided by the
disinfectant manufacturer to rinse the vagina sensor/ stress probe/rectum sensor.
7. Wipe off the water on the vagina sensor/ stress probe/rectum sensor with a dry sterile
cloth. Leave the vagina sensor/ stress probe/rectum sensor to air dry.
8. Inspect the vagina sensor/ stress probe/rectum sensor to ensure that there is no
damage.
Disinfecting by Wiping (main unit and sensor cable):
1. Switch off the main unit and disconnect it from the power cord.
2. Wipe the exterior surface of the equipment and above mentioned accessories using a
soft cloth dampened with the disinfectant solution.
3. Wipe off the disinfectant solution with a dry cloth after disinfection if necessary.
4. Dry the main unit and above mentioned accessories for at least 30 minutes in a
ventilated and cool place.
WARNING
1. Prohibit infiltration of any type of liquid into the device or accessories
2. Do not immerse or soak any part of an accessory in any cleaning material not
listed in the recommended list of disinfectant.
3. Use the immersion method to disinfect the vagina sensor and stress probe.
4. Only non-immersion method can be used with solution of ethanol. The solution
concentration should not exceed the value provided above.
5. The immersion time should not exceed the time that is specified by the
disinfectant manufacturer. Do not use high-temperature, high-pressure vapour
or ionizing radiation as disinfection methods.
6. Do not use chloric disinfectant such as chloride, sodium hypochlorite etc.
6.2.5 After Reprocessing
➢ After reprocessing, the equipment, cables, sensors and other accessories should be
checked to ensure there are no signs of aging, wear, cracks, deformation,
discoloration or peeling, etc. Replacement should be taken or contact the service
personal of the manufacturer if necessary.
➢ Assembling and attaching device-specific components
Prerequisite:
All components have been reprocessed and are dry.
