Distance/reference cable replacing
In the case of exchange of distance/reference cable turn the control unit off
(transmitter and receiver coils will remain in standby mode) and replace the cable.
Then switch the control unit on again.
End of measurement
When measurement is finished, first turn the control unit off, then turn the
transmitter and the receiver off. Disconnect the distance/reference cable.
WARNING:
Make sure that both the transmitter and the receiver are switched off before
putting them into the transport case. Otherwise it might damage the instrument.
Battery charging
If the Li-Ion battery pack is in the device and the device is connected to the
external power source (AC/DC adapter or DC power source) then charging is
turned on automatically.
The status of the battery charging is signalized by the control light Charger
indicator:
- The light is off – charging has been finished
- Green color – charging
- Red color – defective battery (disconnect the external power
source immediately and exchange the battery)
Battery indicator on the display will show ( ) if charger is connected. If
( ) is shown for transmitter coil, it’s not possible to measure.
Power Supply
The receiver / transmitter coils can be supplied from:
- exchangeable Li-Ion battery pack
- six / twelve primary or NiCd or NiMh cells size AA (placed in the holder)
