15.8 Changing the headlight bulb
Note
Damage to reflector Grease on the reflector reduces the light intensity.
Grease on the bulb will evaporate due to the heat and be deposited on the reflector.
– Clean and degrease the bulbs before mounting.
– Do not touch the bulbs with your bare hands.
Preparatory work
– Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 115)

Main work

Turn protection cap

together with the underlying bulb
socket counterclockwise all the way and remove it.

Pull bulb socket

of the position light out of the reflector.

Pull out headlight bulb

– Insert the new headlight bulb.
Headlight (HS1 / Sockel PX43t) ( p. 150)
– Insert the protection cap with the bulb socket into the reflec-
tor and turn it clockwise all the way.

Ensure that O-ring

is seated properly.
– Insert the bulb socket of the position light into the reflector.
Finishing work
– Install the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 115)
– Check the headlight setting. ( p. 118)
