NOTE: When using the straight stitch foot, make sure to set
the stitch selector at 1 (Center needle position).
Otherwise the needle may strike the sewing foot and
possibly break,

Topstitching emphasizes lines of garments and keeps seams
and edges flat and crisp,, Accent suits or blouses with one or
two rows of topstitching around the outer edges of cuffs,
lapels or collars. Lower the presser foot and keep the edge
of the fabric next to the right edge of the presser foot.
Evenly guide the fabric along the edge to produce an even
row of topstitching 3/8" (0,,gcm) from the edge.

Zipper Sewing

(_) Presser foot: Zipper foot
Fabric preparation
(_ Right side of fabric
(_) End of opening
(_) 3/4" (2.0cm)
Place right sides (top side) of fabric together and sew to the
end of the zipper opening.
Reverse stitch to lock the stitches. Increase stitch length to 4
and set needle thread tension at 0, Sew the zipper opening
with the basting stitch,,
