TIRE SERVICE LIFE
Removing piles of loose soil or rock debris may cause premature
wear and tear of the tires due to cracks and small fissures. As a
result, the service life of the tires is reduced. Proceed as follows
to avoid unnecessary wear and tear of the tires:
• Try to work on level ground and remove any rocks and large
stones which are sticking out of the surface.
• Always drive in straight direction into the pile or slope. This
ensures that you have always the largest intrusive force
while reducing tire wear and tear at the same time.
• For removing operations, lift the bucket as soon as you drive
into the pile or slope. This procedure permits to increase the
load of the front wheels, prevents slipway of the front wheels
and reduces wear and tear of the tires.
• Lower the bucket slowly onto the ground. If the bucket touch-
es the ground too fast, the front wheels may be lifted from
the ground, thus leading to premature wear and tear of the
rear tires.
• To prevent the front wheels from skidding, it is recommend-
ed to set the ground pressure of the front wheels as high as
possible. Therefore, immediately lift the bucket a little after
running into the pile or slope.
LEVEL INDICATOR FOR THE BUCKET
On both sides of the bucket the upper edges (see arrow) are ar-
ranged in parallel to the bucket edge and can be used as a level
indicator for the bucket.
You can recognize the position of the cutting edge of the bucket
from the driver’s seat with the help of the level indicators.
