3.3.4 STOPPING THE ENGINE

IMPORTANT

q The sudden stop of the engine while it is running shortens its life.

q Do not stop the engine suddenly, except in case of emergency. It is likewise recommended not to stop

the engine suddenly if it has been running for a long period and is still hot; in this case, let the engine

run at low idling speed for about 5 minutes, in order to allow it to cool down gradually before stopping it.

1. Run the engine at low idling speed for about 5 minutes, in

order to allow it to cool down gradually.

2. Turn the ignition key (1) to position OFF to stop the engine.

3. Remove the key (1).
