9.1 Service schedule
Every 40,000 km (24,855 mi) or every 4 years
Every 20,000 km (12,428 mi) or every 2 years or after every sporting use
Every 10,000 km (6,214 mi) or annually
Once after 1,000 km (621.4 mi)
Check that the electrical equipment is functioning properly.
Read out the trouble code memory using the KTM diagnostics tool.
Check the measured service values with the KTM diagnostics tool.
Change the engine oil and filter, clean the oil screen. ( p. 228)
Check the oil nozzle for the clutch lubrication.
Check the front brake linings. ( p. 185)
Check the front brake discs. ( p. 181)
Check the rear brake linings. ( p. 189)
Check the rear brake disc. ( p. 182)
Check that brake lines are undamaged and free of leaks.
Check the rear brake fluid level. ( p. 186)
Check the free travel of the foot brake lever. ( p. 154)
Check that the shock absorber and fork are leak tight. If necessary and depending on use, service the fork and
shock absorber.
Check the swingarm bearings.
Check wheel bearings for play.
Check the tire condition. ( p. 198)
Check the tire pressure. ( p. 200)
Check the chain, rear sprocket and engine sprocket. ( p. 176)
