Depending on the static sag and/or the riding sag, it may be necessary to
increase or decrease the spring preload.
Tighten screw .
Guideline
Screw, shock absorber adjusting ring M6 5 Nm (3.7 lbf ft)
Install the shock absorber. x ( p. 44)

Remove the shock absorber. x ( p. 43)
After removing the shock absorber, clean it thoroughly.
Choose and mount a suitable spring.

Check the static sag of the shock absorber. ( p. 41)
Check the riding sag of the shock absorber. ( p. 42)
Adjust the rebound damping of the shock absorber. ( p. 40)
11.13Removing the shock absorber x
Jack up the motorcycle. ( p. 38)
B00012-10
Remove screw and lower the rear wheel with the swing arm as far as possible
without blocking the rear wheel. Fix the rear wheel in this position.
Remove screw , push splash protector to the side, and remove the shock
absorber.
