– Turn bulb socket counterclockwise all the way and take it out of the tail light.
– Press bulb carefully into the socket, turn it counterclockwise by about 30°, and pull
it out of the socket.
– Press the new bulb carefully into the socket and turn it clockwise until it stops.
Brake light (P21W / socket BA15s) ( p. 199)
– Insert the bulb socket into the tail light and turn clockwise until it stops.
– Check the lighting function.
– Position the tail light. Mount and tighten nuts with the washers.
Guideline
Nut, tail light M6 8 Nm (5.9 lbf ft)
Checking the headlight setting

– Park the vehicle on a horizontal surface in front of a light-colored wall and make a mark
at the height of the center of the low beam headlight.
– Make another mark at a distance of under the first mark.
Guideline
Distance 5 cm (2 in)
– Park the vehicle at a distance of vertically in front of the wall and switch on the low
beam headlight.
Guideline
Distance 5 m (16 ft)
– The rider, with luggage and passenger if applicable, now mounts the motorcycle.
– Check the headlight setting.
