•Ensurethatthediscyouareusingisclean.Toremovedustorfingerprints,wipethedisccleanwithasoft
clothfromthecentertotheoutside.Wipingadiscinacircularmotionmightcauselossofdata.
•Ensurethatthediscyouareusingisnotscratchedordamaged.Tryinsertinganotherdiscthatyou
knowisgood.Ifyoucannotreadfromaknown-gooddisc,youmighthaveaproblemwithyouroptical
driveorthecablingtoyouropticaldrive.
•IfyouhavemultipleCDorDVDdrivesinstalled(oracombinationofCDandDVDdrives),tryinsertingthe
discintotheotherdrive.Insomecases,onlyoneofthedrivesisconnectedtotheaudiosubsystem.
Abootablerecoverymedium,suchastheProductRecoveryCD,cannotbeusedtostartyour
computer.
Solution:
EnsurethattheCDorDVDdriveissetasthetoppriorityoftheBootPriorityOrderintheSetupUtility

changingthestartupsequence.
