• Provide a supporting floor that is strong and rigid enough to support—with a reasonable
safety factor and without undue or objectionable deflection—the weight of the fully loaded
machine and the forces transmitted by it during operation. Refer to document BNUUUI01.
• Provide sufficient clearance for machine movement. Request the dimensional drawing(s) for
the Milnor
®
machine model(s) to be installed.
• Provide safety guards, fences, restraints, and/or posted hazard signs to prevent personnel from
entering machine movement areas, as specified in ANSI Z8.1-2016. For Milnor
®
conveyors
that traverse, elevate, extend, pivot, and/or tilt, refer to documents BNSUUI01 and
BNSUUI02.
• Provide adequate ventilation to carry away heat and vapors. For Milnor
®
pass-through (sys-
tem) dryers, refer to document BNDGUI01.
• Meet local and national safety standards, especially regarding machine external electrical dis-
connect devices (see the National Electric Code). Prominently post safety information that
shows the location of electrical disconnect devices.
