1.1.4 Features of Redundant CPU
The features specific to the Redundant CPU are described below.
(1) Supporting redundant system in addition to the Process CPU functions
(a) Redundant system using Redundant CPU
With the Redundant CPU, a redundant system as a whole including base units,
power supply modules, and CPU modules (Redundant CPUs) can be configured.
The redundant system realizes high reliability since the standby system takes
over the control even if a failure occurs in the control system.
