3.2 Batteries (Option)
Normally, the DRU operates on AC operating power. The optional battery can be equipped to the DRU so
that the DRU can continue its operation even if the AC power supply to the DRU has stopped due to an AC
power supply outage. This paragraph explains the method of mounting the battery and the kind of battery
that can be used.
3.2.1 How to Mount the Battery
The battery can be equipped inside the DRU or installed externally. When installing the battery exter-
nally, it must be mounted on the BATT BOX ASSEM. for the location of the BATT BOX ASSEM, refer
to Figure 2-3 through 2-5. The BATT BOX ASSEM. must be provided by the installer.
3.2.2 Specifications of the Battery
Table 2-4 shows the specifications of the usable battery.
Note: The battery should be a one to which terminals of Fasten Terminal 187 Series can be connected.
3.3 Functions of Circuit Cards for the DRU
3.3.1 Required Circuit Cards for the DRU
For interface between the NEAX2400 IMS and the DRU, the following circuit cards are required.
(1) DLI (PA-DAIA)
This circuit card provides the interface between the NEAX2400 IMS and DRU-30-A/DRU-30-S3.
(2) DLI (PA-DAIC)
This circuit card provides the interface between the NEAX2400 IMS and the DRU-23-S3.
(3) 2DLI (PA-2DAID)
This circuit card provides two interface circuits for connection between the NEAX2400 IMS and
DRU-30-A/DRU-30-S3.
(4) PLO (PA-CK00-B/CK00-B)
When the DRU-23-S3 is remotely installed using the digital line, this circuit card synchronizes the
clock between the NEAX2400 IMS and the digital line.
