2.6 Color Drift Correction
The C910/C930 comes with several ID units and LED heads, therefore, causes color drift. This
mechanical color drift can automatically be corrected with the following procedures.
(1) Automatically Corrected Color Drift
X Axis Color Drift (position off-alignment due to LED head)
Skew Color Drift (position off-alignment due to LED head)
Y Axis Color Drift (I/D unit and position off-alignment due to LED head)
(2) Correction Method
The color drift detection pattern set is printed on the belt. This is then read by the
reflection sensor to detect the color drift value of each color and therefore, determine
the correction level. The modification takes place by comparing the each colors’ (Cyan,
Magenta and Yellow) write timing with black, according to the correction value.
2.7 Image Transfer Control According to Environmental Change
(Room Temperature and Relative Humidity)
The C910/C930 measures the room temperature with the room temperature sensor and measures
the relative humidity with the humidity sensor. It further computes the optimal transfer voltage
under the environmental conditions (temperature and RH) measured. Then printing is controlled in
real-time at this optimal voltage.
