25. Install new spring ring on rear drive shafts. Apply an
anti-seize compound to the splines.
26. Install the rear drive shaft splines into transmission
splines. Install the fasteners that attach the rear
bearing carrier to the upper and lower A-arms.
Torque new nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Upper and Lower Rear Bearing Carrier Nuts:
40 ft-lb (54 Nm)
27. Install new brake caliper mounting bolts and torque
to specification.
TORQUE
Rear Caliper Mounting Bolts:
44 ft-lbs (60 Nm)
CAUTION
New bolts have a pre-applied locking agent which is
destroyed upon removal. Always use new brake caliper
mounting bolts upon assembly.
28. Install rear wheels and wheel nuts. Torque to
specification.
TORQUE
Wheel Nuts:
Steel Rims: 27 ft-lbs (37 Nm)
Aluminum Rims: 30 ft-lbs (41 Nm) + 90°
29. Properly lower the vehicle.
30. Verify all wire and hose routings are correct. Connect
the (-) negative battery cable.
31. Install the engine service panel and seats.
32. If transmission lubricant was drained, fill the
transmission with the specified amount of Polaris
AGL (see Chapter 2 Transmission Lubrication,
page 2.25).
FLUID CAPACITY
Recommended Transmission Lubricant:
AGL (2878068) (Quart)
Capacity: 44 oz. (1300 ml)
