The machine is not used in the recommended
environments.
Check whether the machine is used in the
recommended environments. For details about
installation environments, see page 10
"Conditions for Installation Locations".
If turning on the power again fails to eliminate the
problem, contact your service representative.
When the Media Cannot Be Set
Problem Cause Solution
• Media does not fit into the
media input location.
• Media gets caught at the
media output location.
The following problems exist
with the leading edge of roll
media.
• The leading edge is
damaged.
• Adhesive tape is sticking to
it.
• The corners are folded.
• If there is a problem with
the leading edge of roll
media, cut the leading
edge.
• When setting very curly
media, stretch the curl by
hand, and then cut the
leading edge diagonally
before setting the media.
Media has raised on the platen
without being fed.
• The vacuuming level of the
media is too strong.
• The platen is stained.
• Lower the vacuum level.
