Replacing memory modules
The motherboard has a slot for an SO-DIMM DDR3 memory module. You may expand the
device memory up to 8 GB.
Note
Use only the memory modules recommended by Siemens AG.
On the motherboard, the slot for non-ECC memory modules is turned by 180° compared to
the ECC slot.
Requirement
The device is disconnected from the power supply.
The device is open (see chapters "Opening the device (Page 71)" and "Opening the
device containing expansion cards (Page 73)").
Procedure
Note
Observe the directives on handling electrostatic
-sensitive components in ESD guideline
(Page
108).
Removal
1.
Push down the module clips towards the
outside.
The memory module tilts forward.
2.
Remove
the memory module from the
slot.
