6.6 Connecting the power supply
The 24 V DC load power supply required for the supply must be wired to the screw-type terminal
block (connector X124).
Note
The interface X124 is provided exclusively to connect the external power supply.
Properties of the load power supply
WARNING
Danger to life from hazardous voltage when connecting an unsuitable power supply
The 24 V DC voltage must be generated as functional extra-low voltage with safe electrical
isolation (according to IEC 204-1, Chapter 6.4, PELV) and grounded by the user (establish
a connection between PELV signal M and central grounding point of the system).
Table 6-6 Electrical parameters of the required load power supply
Parameter Values Conditions
Voltage range - mean value 20.4...28.8 V DC
Ripple max. 5 % at 24 V DC
Non-periodic overvoltage max. 35 V DC max. 500 ms, 50 s recovery time, max.
10 results/h.
Rated current consumption 0.8 A Without DRIVE-CLiQ and digital outputs
Starting current 3 A Without Power Module, DRIVE-CLiQ and
digital outputs

Wiring the screw-type terminal block
DANGER
Danger to life from energized parts
Death or serious injury will result if energized parts are touched.
Ensure that the system is de-energized when you wire the modules!
Use flexible cables with a cross-section of at least 1 mm² when you wire the power supply.
Wire-end sleeves are required if you wire several cables per connection.
1.
Strip the cable ends.
2. Put on the wire-end sleeve if applicable.
3. Plug the cable end (with wire-end sleeve) into the screw-type terminal connection.
