11.5 Automatic Power Derating
In order to maintain safe inverter operation under adverse environmental
conditions or due to improper input voltages, the unit automatically reduces the
amount of power it feeds to the grid.
11.5.1 Temperature-related Power Derating
Operating parameters, such as input voltage, grid voltage and power available from
the photovoltaic arrays can affect the power derating caused by ambient or inverter
temperature. The following graph shows the automatic reduction in output power
in relation to ambient temperature.
