MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL AND
DISASSEMBLY
• Place a rag underneath the brake hose union bolt on the mas-
ter cylinder to catch any spilt brake fluid. Remove the brake
hose union bolt
1 and disconnect the brake hose.
• Remove the master cylinder mounting bolts

• Disconnect the reservoir hose

• Loosen the locknut

• Remove the master cylinder assembly by turning the master
cylinder rod
5.
• Remove the connector
6 and O-ring by removing the snap
ring
7.
• Remove the boot
8 and snap ring

• Remove the push rod

Immediately wipe off any brake fluid contacting any
part of the vehicle. The brake fluid reacts chemically
with paint, plastics, rubber materials, etc., and will
damage them severely.
