Change
the
+
lead
of
the
dvm
from
TP1420
to
TP1610
.
Introduction
This
procedure
should
be
performed
if
the
instrument
fails
to
meet
the
performance
requirements
of
the
electrical
characteristics
listed
in
the
Specification
section
of
this
man
ual
.
To
ensure
continued
instrument
accuracy
,
it
is
recom
mended
that
adjustment
be
performed
every
1000
hours
of
operation
or
every
6
months
if
used
infrequently
.
Adjust
ment
is
also
recommended
following
instrument
repair
or
modification
.
The
adjustments
must
be
made
at
an
ambient
temperature
of
+
20
°
C
to
+
30
°
C
.

provides
complete
instrument
repair
and
adjustment
at
local
field
service
centers
and
at
the
factory
service
center
.

field
office
or
representative
for
further
information
.
Test
Equipment
Required
The
test
equipment
(
or
equivalent
)
listed
in
Table
5-1
in
the
Performance
Check
section
of
this
manual
is
required
for
adjustment
of
the
FG
5010.
Specifications
given
for
the
test
equipment
are
the
minimum
necessary
for
accurate
ad
justment
.
All
test
equipment
is
assumed
to
be
correctly
cali
brated
and
operating
within
specification
.
If
other
test
equipment
is
substituted
,
the
adjustment
may
need
to
be
altered
to
meet
the
requirements
of
the
equipment
used
.
Adjustment
Access
Operate
the
FG
5010
on
two
extender
cables
(
refer
to
Table
7-2
for
Tektronix
Part
No.
)
outside
the
power
module
.
Remove
the
side
covers
,
top
,
and
back
panel
of
the
instru
ment
to
gain
access
to
all
adjustments
.
Adjustments
on
the
Sine
Shaper
board
may
be
accessed
by
removing
the
right
side
cover
.
An
extender
kit
(
refer
to
Table
7-2
for
Tektronix
Part
No.
)
is
necessary
to
gain
access
to
the
Loop
1
and
Output
Amplifier
circuit
boards
.
The
adjustments
on
the
Loop
2
board
are
located
at
the
top
of
the
board
.
See
the
Adjustment
Locations
illustrations
in
the
pullout
pages
at
the
rear
of
this
manual
.
Put
Loop
1
on
extender
and
remove
shields
.
Install
P1121
in
CAL
position
on
CPU
board
.
