Verification
Verify that the same IP address is assigned to the device each time when it connects to the router. To
unbind the device from the IP address, click corresponding to the device, and click OK.
3.7.2 Port Forwarding
If computers are connected to the router to form a LAN and access the internet through the router,
internet users cannot access the servers built on the hosts on the LAN, such as web servers, email
servers, and FTP servers. To enable internet users to access a LAN server, enable the port forwarding
function of the router, and map one service port to the IP address of the LAN server. This enables the
router to forward the requests arriving at the port from the internet to the LAN server.
To configure the virtual server function, choose Advanced > Port Forwarding.
The following table describes the parameters.
It specifies the protocol of a service provided through the router for
internet users. If you are uncertain about which service protocol is
used, TCP/UDP is recommended.
