CAUTION

the stop and tail lights, rear turn
signal light s or r ear r etro−r eflect ors
while you ar e par ked, other road
users must b e warned of t he pres-
ence of your vehi cle by a warning
tri angle or other device.
The emergenc y door has a power door
lock . When t he engine sw itc h is t urned to
the “ON” posit ion, the emergency door is
automati cally unloc ked. It is loc ked again
when the engine switc h is turned off.
From insi de—If the loc k k nob i s turned t o
the lock s ide while the engine swi tch is
“ON”, the lock knob will not return to the
unlock si de automati cally. ( The emergency
door warning light and buzzer c ome on.)
Hammer
Tap t he side window glass wit h the
hammer fr om the inside unt il t he glass
breaks off.
Use the hammer only for thi s purpose.

vehicle is moving.
Only i n an emer gency, such as if it
becomes impossibl e to st op the vehicl e
in the normal way, stop the vehicle us-
ing the followi ng procedure:
1. Steadil y st ep on the brak e pedal with
both f eet and fi rmly depress it. Do not
pump t he brak e pedal repeatedl y as
this will inc rease the effort required to
slow the vehi cle.
2. Shif t the shift l ever to N or neutral .
If t he shift lever is shift ed to N or
neutral :
3. Aft er sl owing down, stop the v ehicl e in
a safe place by the road.
4. Stop the engine.
If the shift l ever cannot be shifted to
N or neutral:

both feet t o reduce vehi cle s peed as
much as pos sibl e.
