The GM (group monitor) function monitors the set frequency to nd if there are any stations operating with the GM
function within communication range.
The
can then display the position and distance and other information for each member call sign on the screen.
Besides identifying GM stations that are within the sphere of communications, the GM function is also a convenient
method to instantly note the relative positions of all the members.
