The control panel will automatically display the mes-
sage HIGH OIL FILTER DPSI when the differential
pressure reaches the programmable setpoint across the
oil filter (10-100 psid, default 65 psid (69-690 kPa, de-
fault 448 kPa)). A safety shutdown will initiate.
OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT
Use the following instructions to replace the oil lter.
1. Turn off the chiller, and secure it from starting by
using the standard lock out/tag out procedure.
2. Isolate and remove the refrigerant from the com-
pressor.
3. Bring the compressor up to atmospheric pressure
with dry nitrogen.
4. Remove the six cap screws that secure the oil lter
cover to the compressor housing as shown in Fig-
ure 65 on page 135.
5. Remove the oil lter housing cover and O-ring
seal.
6. Remove the oil lter. Examine any debris from
the lter, which could indicate wear in the com-
pressor or other parts of the unit.
7. Replace the oil lter element and the cover O-
ring with new parts. Refer to Model YVWA Re-
newal Parts (Form 201.30-RP1) to get the new
part numbers. Seat the element and properly to
prevent lter bypass. Lightly lubricate the O-ring
with compressor oil.
8. Reinstall the oil lter housing cover, and torque
the cap screws to 18 ft-lb (24.4 Nm).
9. Leak check the cover by pressurizing the system.
10. Evacuate the isolated compressor and applicable
portions of the chiller. Reinstall refrigerant.
