Preparing for Installation
Lifting the Drive
Lift the drive only by the metal
chassis.
Unpack the Drive
1. Unpack the drive.
2. Check for any damage and
notify the shipper immediately
if damaged components are
found.
3. Check the contents against
the order and the shipping label to verify that all parts have been received.
Drive Identification
Drive Labels
To determine the type of drive you are installing, refer to either:
• Serial number label attached on upper part of the chokeplate between the
mounting holes.
• Type code label attached on the heat sink – on the right side of the unit cover.
