PV generator characteristics MPPT congu-
ration
Notes
The photovoltaic generator consists
of strings having a different number
of modules in series from each other.
MPPT congu-
ration
has to be IN-
DEPENDENT
A NECESSARY condition so that the two
MPPTs can be used in independent mode is for
the photovoltaic generator connected to each
of the inputs to have a power lower than the
power limit of the single input channel AND a
maximum current lower than the current limit
of the single input channel.
The photovoltaic generator consists
of strings that have different installa-
tion conditions from each other.
The photovoltaic generator consists
of strings having the same number
of modules in series as each other.
Possibility
of choosing
between the
conguration
with MPPT as
INDEPENDENT
or
PARALLEL
A NECESSARY condition so that the two
MPPTs can be used in independent mode is for
the photovoltaic generator connected to each
of the inputs to have a power lower than the
power limit of the input channel AND a maxi-
mum current lower than the current limit of the
input channel.
An ADVISABLE (*) condition so that the two
MPPTs can be connected in parallel is for the
photovoltaic generator connected to the two
inputs to consist of strings made by the same
number of modules in series and for all the
modules to have the same installation condi-
tions.
The photovoltaic generator consists
of strings that have the same instal-
lation conditions, that is to say, all
the strings have the same inclination
from the horizontal and the same
orientation to the SOUTH.
The photovoltaic generator con-
nected to each of the inputs has a
power lower than the power limit
of the input channel AND a current
lower than the current limit of the
input channel.
(*) This condition is advisable from the point of view of the energy production of the system, not from the
point of view of inverter operation.
The photovoltaic generator consists
of strings having the same number
of modules in series as each other.
MPPT congu-
ration
has to be PAR-
ALLEL
A SUFFICIENT (*) condition so that the two
MPPTs must be used in parallel mode is for
the photovoltaic generator connected to each
of the inputs to have a power higher than the
power limit of the single input channel OR a
maximum current higher than the current limit
of the single input channel.
An ADVISABLE (**) condition so that the two
MPPTs can be connected in parallel is for the
photovoltaic generator connected to the two
inputs to consist of strings made by the same
number of modules in series and for all the
modules to have the same installation condi-
tions.
The photovoltaic generator consists
of strings that have the same instal-
lation conditions, that is to say, all
the strings have the same inclination
from the horizontal and the same
orientation to the SOUTH.
The photovoltaic generator con-
nected to each of the inputs has a
power higher than the power limit
of the input channel OR a current
higher than the current limit of the
input channel.
(*) This condition is sufcient from the point of view of the energy production of the system, not from the point
of view of inverter operation.
(**) This condition is advisable from the point of view of the energy production of the system, not from the
point of view of inverter operation.
