Battery Check and Replacement
The internal battery, A1BT101, provides power to the internal
real-time clock, stored states, and reading storage memory whenever
ac line power is removed.
Note: The internal battery state does not affect the calibration memory.
The battery has an expected life of approximately 4 years. Battery
life will be reduced if the instrument is stored for prolonged periods
at temperatures above 40 °C with the ac power removed. The battery
is not used whenever the ac line power is applied to the instrument.
The internal battery may be monitored to verify operation as
described below. A low battery will typically give errors when ac line
power is removed and then re-applied. Any of the following errors
may indicate a low battery:
201, “Memory lost: stored state”
202, “Memory lost: power-on state”
203, “Memory lost: stored readings”
204, “Memory lost: time and date”
Properly dispose
of lithium battery.
