SETTING UP THE QUICKSCAN™ QBT/QM2500 READER
Follow the steps below to connect and get your reader up and communicating with its
host.
1. Configure the Base Station starting on
page 19.
2. Charge the Batteries.
3. Link to the Base Station (see
page 19).
4. Select the Interface Type (see
page 22).
5. Configure the Reader starting on
page 27 (optional, depends on settings needed)
CHARGING THE BATTERIES
The battery can also be charged by connecting the reader directly to a host through the
USB Type-C connector available in the bottom of the handle, as shown below.
Alternatively, simply insert the QuickScan™ into the base station / charger. When the
scanner is fully seated in the base, it will sound a “chirp” to indicate that the base has
detected the scanner connection.
The LEDs on the base will indicate the status of the battery. For information about the
LEDs see
"Technical Specifications" on page 292.
NOTE: Before using the battery, read "Battery Safety" on page 6. Datalogic
recommends annual replacement of rechargeable battery packs to ensure
maximum performance.
